[Case Study] High Definition Enhancement of LCD Screens and Double-Sided Decoration

Break through the barriers of mass production with a reverse-thinking approach! Achieving mass production of camera-equipped mobile phones.

We would like to introduce a case where we solved the challenges of enhancing the clarity of LCD screens and achieving dual-sided decoration using our uniquely developed "Double In-Mold Method (W-IMD)." Traditionally, post-processing to enhance the clarity of LCD screens had low yield rates, becoming a barrier to mass production. Additionally, there were conflicting demands for advanced dual-sided decoration in some products. In cases where multiple decorative in-mold processes are performed on deep-drawn shapes, ensuring alignment accuracy between each cavity is technically challenging, and other companies have deemed such projects unfeasible. Introduction to the High-Pressure Forming In-Mold Processing Method

High-precision reproduction of designs with a high aspect ratio! High-pressure forming in-mold processing.

"High-Pressure Forming In-Mold Decoration" is a method that can reproduce designs with a high aspect ratio with high precision compared to other decoration techniques. After decorating a thermoplastic film with product designs (patterns, text, etc.) using silk screen printing, the decorated film is pressed against a mold using compressed air in a high-pressure forming machine for preliminary shaping according to the mold's shape. Subsequently, it is inserted into an injection molding mold, and plastic molded parts are produced by integrating it with heated, flowable molding resin material.
